Obstruction Lights

Aviation Obstruction Warning Lights are used on obstructions that pose a risk to aircrafts. Regulations are set out by an international authority called ICAO (International Civil Aviation Authority) and local authorities adhere to and enforce this regulation locally. SACAA is our local authority.

 

 

 

AL-HP-B HELIPORT BEACON

AL-HP-B Heliport Beacon

A heliport beacon should be provided at a heliport where long-range visual guidance is considered a necessary and is not provided by other visual means; or identification of the heliport is difficult due to surrounding lights. The heliport beacon shall be located on or adjacent to the heliport preferably at an elevated position and so that it does not dazzle a pilot at short range.

Application: Helipad/Heliport/Helideck.

 

The AL-HP-B flashes colour white 4 times/0.8second and stops for 1.2s, then starts a new cycle for 2 seconds (0.8s+1.2s).

Features: Xenon as light source with service life more than 108 times. Clear polycarbonate lens for converging light and also provides corrosion resistance and UV protection. UV protection Powder coated bright yellow colour base for better visibility. Base material is stainless steel 304 which has strong corrosion resistance, shock and vibration protection.
Optional: Controller for power supplying and turn ON/OFF light. VHF pilot to ground remote control.

 AVIA B FOR CRANES

Avia B Aviation Obstruction Lights for Cranes

Supply of Led Lights on a standard base. Brackets available on request.

Applications: Tower Cranes, Cranes, Towers, Oil Rigs, Chimney Stacks, Buildings or any other obstruction from 0-150m high.

Type B aviation obstruction warning light, the Avia B is designed to be fitted on any obstruction 0 - 150m high. The light has a >32 candela light output. Two lights per structure is recommended yet you can also use the Avia B singularly per position. Due to their excellent tolerance to shock and vibrations, general beacon warning lights are regarded as the perfect choice for use on machinery, or in areas that are subject to excessive vibrations. They also pose an added advantage of long lasting and durable performance characteristics. With their toughness and ability to maintain high performance in tough situations, they are an excellent choice for extreme conditions. The Avia B light is manufactured in South Africa.

Flashing or Non Flashing: The lights can be manufactured to be flashing, or non-flashing (static).
Side or Bottom Entry: The power cable can enter from the side or underneath.
IP Rating: These lights are made to the standard of IP 68.
